• Notes

  According to several ancestry.com trees, he was born about 1711 in Ste-Anne, Beaubassin (then in Acadia; now Amherst, Nova Scotia), and died 31 May 1779 in St-Hyacinthe, Quebec. But Denis Bureaugard's Genealogy of the French in North America conspicuously omits any birth or death dates, despite providing them for most of his siblings. The site of the now-vanished town of Beaubassin, once in Acadia, is now in Nova Scotia.
