  Emigrated 1635 on the Planter. He was a miller. First at Boston, then Braintree. Ancestry of Eva Belle Kempton (vol. 4) guesses his birthplace as "near Kingston upon Thames, Surrey" because that place was "the source of his certificate of conformity." In 1898, Nathan Guilford (citation details below) also called Thomas Jewell "of Kingston-upon-Thames."
