  Robert Charles Anderson, in The Great Migration: Immigrants to New England, 1634-1635, Volume V, M-P, page 265, names the husband of Susanna Nolton, daughter of William Nolton, "Paul Gilford." This appears to be a rare slip on Anderson's part. He dates the marriage "by 1651" and says "eldest known child bp. Hingham [blank] November 1651", then gives two citations. The first is "NEHGR 121:24", which points to an entry in the journal of the Rev. Peter Hobart of Hingham establishing that "Susanna gillford" was baptised in November 1651. The second is "Hingham Hist 2:268", which tells us that the Susanna Gilford who married Thomas Jewell on 18 Oct 1672 was the eldest child of John Gilford of Hingham who d. 26 Sep 1660. Paul Gilford was John Guilford/Gilford's and Susanna Nolton/Norton's son. He married Susanna Pullen (or Pulson).
