Foster Genealogy (citation details below) says she married "Fred Knight" and "d. leaving two or three sons who res. in So. Dak." She appears to have been the youngest of her parents' seventeen children, thirteen of whom lived to adulthood.

Multiple U.S. census records show that both his parents were born in Maine. The 1857 Minnesota territorial census for Fillmore County, where Frank F. Knight later married Martha Stuart, shows Frank Knight, age 2, born in Wisconsin, with parents George and Clara Knight, both born in Maine. The 1875 state census for the same place shows him age 19, born in Wisconsin, with father G. W. Knight, age 53, born in Maine, and mother Clara, 47, also born in Maine.
