Ormerod, both in his history of Cheshire and in Parentalia, gives this Isabel as a daughter of Thomas Lathom's first wife, also Isabel, daughter of Roger de Pilkington. But the Feet of Fines for Yorkshire dated Quindene of Easter, 50 Edw. III, 1376, contains the lines "remainder to Thomas son of the same Thomas de Lathum and the heirs male of his body; remainder to Isabel daughter of Thomas de Lathum and Joan and the heirs male of her body." Which might indicate that Thomas was a son of the first marriage, but clearly shows that Isabel was a daughter of the second.
