Also called Philippa Roelt. She may also have been the "Philippa Pan" mentioned in the account book of the household of Elizabeth de Burgh, where Chaucer served in the late 1350s

Philippa married Geoffrey Chaucer before 12 Sep 1366. Geoffrey (son of John Chaucer and Agnes Copton) was born about 1340; died in 1400; was buried in Westminster Abbey, Westminster, Middlesex, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

An accomplished politician, he served in at least fifteen parliaments between 1401 and 1431, and was Speaker of the House of Commons five times, a record not equalled until the 1700s. He was also chief butler of England from 1402 until his death, with only two short breaks, and was thus able to direct a great deal of patronage.

Thomas married Maud Burghersh about 1395. Maud (daughter of John de Burghersh and Ismaine de Hanham) was born about 1379; died on 27 Apr 1437; was buried in Ewelme, Oxfordshire, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
