Smith an saying "I hereby give consent to the marriage of my minor daughter Edith M. Smith who was seventeen years of age Jan 5th 1904." More public records should be so gratuitously rich in genealogically-relevant information.

Edith May Smith and her husband William Samuel Derr were double third cousins through their shared Derr ancestry, triple fourth cousins through their Koogle forbears, and fourth cousins via their Smith ancestors.
