  Walter Eliot Thwing (citation details below) gives her parents, without proof, as Thomas and Lydia Davis. No record correlating to this has been found. Wikitree (as of 29 Sep 2025) tentatively has her parents as Timothy Davis and Elizabeth Badger who married in Portsmouth, New Hampshire on 8 Nov 1703 and had, among children, Joanah Davis born 13 Apr 1707, which is certainly close to the birth date given by Walter Eliot Thwing.
