• Notes

  He was a graduate of Harvard and for some years a professor of various sciences at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. He then moved to Oyster Bay, Long Island in 1900 and worked as a civil engineer. He was also the author of a Connecticut-based ghost story called "The Black Dog" which appeared in the April-May-June 1898 issue of The Connecticut Quarterly.
