  His baptismal record is not (yet) indexed and abstracted in ancestry.com’s version of the Drouin collection, but it is present on image 31 of the 34 images for St-Luc in 1822. It reads "Le dix-sept novembre mil-huit cent vingt-deux, nous prêtre soussigné avons baptisé Moïse né avant hier du légitime mariage de Joseph Joubert cultivateur en la paroisse St-Athanase et de Marie-Anne Girouard son épouse. Parrain Joseph Romain, marraine Charlotte Godin qui ainsi que le père, n'ont su signer." "On November 17, 1822, we, the undersigned priest, baptized Moses, born the day before yesterday to the legitimate marriage of Joseph Joubert, farmer in the parish of St. Athanasius, and Marie-Anne Girouard, his wife. Godfather Joseph Romain, godmother Charlotte Godin, who, like the father, were unable to sign." He was naturalized as an American citizen on May 21, 1868, a day after his son Louis. His and his wife's last child recorded in the database of the PRDH was Jean Baptiste Joubert, who was baptized 22 Jan 1854 at St-Athanase-de-Bleury and who was buried 24 Apr 1855 at St. Anne, Kankakee, Illinois. Jean Baptiste Joubert's burial record gives him as a son of Moise Joubert and Julia Lavallee, thus telling us when they and their children emigrated to Illinois. He was evidently dead before 1880, as in the 1880 census of Ora, Jackson County, Illinois, his youngest surviving child "Francis" Joubert (presumably the son baptized in 1852 as François Joubert) is living, described as a farmer, age 25 (close enough) with his mother Julia, age 60, but with no father in sight. The last record we have been able to locate for him is that of a land transaction on 15 Oct 1870, when he bought a parcel of land for $100 from Richard and Elizabeth Young, all parties being described as of Jackson County.
