  • Notes
    • Said to have served in the War of 1812. ancestry.com contains an entry for a "Squire, Daniel" in its War of 1812 Pension Application Files Index 1812-1815, which states his service to have been "Capt. H. Pratt's Co. N.Y. Mil." Whether this is our Daniel Squire is not established, although the (well-documented) fact that our Daniel Squire's father fought in the Revolution does add credence to the idea.
