Notes - He arrived no later than 1637. He signed the Exeter Combination in 1639, and continued there until 1644 when he removed to Reading. In 1654 he removed to Woburn where he was a malster and a tavernkeeper. In 2023 Eugene Allen Walker (citation details below) established convincingly that the Samuel Walker of Exeter and the Samuel Walker of Reading and Woburn were the same man.
DNA work written up in American Ancestors volume 23, number 4, Winter 2023 -- Eugene Allen Walker, "Samuel1 Walker, Kinsman of Captain Richard Walker", pp. 38-41 -- establishes that this Samuel Walker was probably a first or second cousin of early immigrant Richard Walker (d. 1687) who emigrated in 1633 and settled first at Lynn.
