  • Notes
    • One of LD's five "gateway ancestors."

He was a fisherman, a merchant, and a slaveowner. He emigrated to Masaschusetts in 1630 and settled at Boston.

In 1637 he was one of the supporters of the Rev. Wheelwright who were ordered disarmed. On about 22 Nov 1637 he acknowledged his error in signing the petition in favor of Wheelwright.
