  Sometimes called "M-Josephe Arsenault". Denis Beauregard's Genealogy of the French in North America gives Marie Arsenault's parents as "probably" Charles Arsenault & François Mirande. The handwritten parish record of the marriage of Germain Gerouard to Marie Arsenault describes Germain as "fils de Germain Girouard et Marie Doucet', but calls Marie Arsenault as "fille de François Arsenault et Françoise Mirande." They are both called "habitants a Beaubassin." Is François the same person as the person shown by other sources as Charles Arsenault?
