Complete Peerage says "He was Sheriff of Yorkshire from July 1254, being reappointed in 1258, and continuing until May 1260. He was appointed again in May 1266, and appears to have acted till Christmas 1267, though in Michaelmas 1267 his son William was his deputy."Children:
