    According to many sources of varying quality, Sarah Holt was the mother of some but not all of his children.

    He inherited 100 acres from his grandfather John Seago.

    Notes:

    He appears to have arrived in Maryland in 1752.

    His will of 6 Dec 1784 gives "my Grand son James Seago the son of Abraham Seago decd one Hundred acres of Lland Joining George Lindseys." One of the will's witnesses was Charles Birmingham, his brother-in-law.

    John married Margaret Birmingham on 17 Apr 1740 in St. Luke's Protestant Episcopal Parish, Church Hill, Queen Anne's County, Maryland. Margaret (daughter of John Birmingham and Elizabeth) was born in 1719 in Queen Anne's County, Maryland; died in 1784 in Anson County, North Carolina. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  1. 10.  John Birmingham died between 10 Apr 1747 and 14 May 1747 in Queen Anne's County, Maryland.

    Notes:

    His will mentions wife Elizabeth, son Charles who is to have half of the plantation "Birmingham's Fortune," and daughter Margaret who is to have "the Plantation she now dwells upon containing fifty acres being the other half of the tract of land called Birmingham's Fortune for and during her natural life". The will goes on to specify that son Charles shall "unmolested make use and fetch of lumber" on Margaret's portion and that upon Margaret's death her portion of the land shall go to "my son Charles and his lawful heirs for ever."
