"Eisensteiners," posted to ancestry.com 5 Dec 2010 by user "billywestmoreland":

In the early 1880s twenty-one immigrant families from the Böhmerwald settled homestead land in northern Price County of northern Wisconsin. In the early 1900s, state approval was given to establish a new town to accommodate the request made by these German-Böhmische immigrants. They were granted the opportunity to select a name of their choice for their new town and in keeping with their desire to retain their collective name of "Eisensteiners," they named their town Eisenstein.

About U.S., Records Related to Enrollment of Eastern Cherokee by Guion Miller, 1908-1910, explanation on ancestry.com:

In 1906, the U.S. Court of Claims appointed Guion Miller from the Interior Department to determine who was eligible for funds under the treaties of 1835-36 and 1845 between the United States and the Eastern Cherokee.

In certifying the eligibility of the Cherokees, Miller used earlier census lists and rolls that had been complied by Hester, Chapman, Drennen, and others between 1835 and 1884. Copies of some of these rolls and the indexes to them are filed with the Guion Miller records and are part of this publication. There are an estimated 90,000 individual applicants from throughout North America included within this publication.

From U.S., Records Related to Enrollment of Eastern Cherokee by Guion Miller, 1908-1910 (citation details below):

Turner B. Watson being duly sworn deposes and says:

My name is Turner B. Watson. and I live in Chico, Tex. I am 56 years old. I claim 1/8 Cherokee Indian blood through my father Stanton G. Watson. He died three years ago at the age of 56. He was born in Monroe County, Ky. He came west in 1870. My father got his Indian blood through his mother, a Miss Kilman. I do not know her given name. I reckon I was about 12 years when Miss Kilman died in Ky. She must have been 1/2 Cherokee. She was quite an old lady at the time of her death. My father has often told me that my grandmother, this Miss Kilman was recognized as an Indian, but he never said that she lived with the Indians. She never got any money from the Government on account of her Indian blood. Her neighbors and friends recognized her as being an Indian.

    T B Watson

Subscribed and sworn 15 Sep 1908, at Bridgeport, Texas. Recorded as rejected, 18 Apr 1911.

[His brother Edward S. Watson also applied to be recognized as part Cherokee, and was also rejected.]

This Rudoltice, one of at least six places of that name in the modern Czech Republic, is a mere thirteen miles from Chalupy, home of George Simmet who married Josefa's daughter Anna.

Josefa married Anna Šilháckové. Anna was born in of Rudoltice, Domažlice, Bohemia. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Notes:

On 13 Mar 1862, in Moore County, he enlisted in Company D of the 48th North Carolina Infantry, Confederate. On 10 Dec 1862 he is listed as having deserted.

His death certificate calls him "married" rather than single, widowed, or divorced, so presumably he remarried after the death of Margaret Richardson in 1885.

Nathan married Margaret Roseanne Richardson on 24 May 1860 in Moore County, North Carolina. Margaret was born on 17 Dec 1843 in Moore County, North Carolina; died on 31 Jul 1885 in Moore County, North Carolina; was buried in Morgan Family Cemetery, Robbins, Moore, North Carolina. Other Events and Attributes:

    • Alternate birth: 1846, North Carolina
    • Alternate birth: 1848, North Carolina

    Notes:

Census records show that he and his family moved from Moore County, North Carolina to what would become Oklahoma sometime between 1880 and 1900. The same records present an entirely inconsistent record of whether he was literate.

In the 1850 census he is four years old, living with his mother Nancy, 42, father Zacheriah, 36, sister Elizabeth, 11, brother Enoch, 9, brother Henry, 6, brother William, 1, all in Moore County, North Carolina. His "cannot read and write" column is checked.

In the 1860 census he is 13, living with his father (the name as written looks like "Lachara"), age 40, a 40-year-old woman named Elizabeth (presumably his stepmother), brother Enoch, 18, brother Henry, 17, and brother William, 11, all in Moore County, North Carolina, post office Good Spring. His "cannot read" column is unchecked.

In the 1870 census he is 22, living in Bensalem, Moore County, North Carolina with wife Lydia, 21, son Henry, 3, daughter Margaret, 5 months, and Elizabeth Pool, age 70. His "cannot read" and "cannot write" columns are unchecked.

In the 1880 census he is 33, living in Shuffield, Moore County, North Carolina with wife Lydia M, 34, daughter Margret, 10, son Henry F., 9, daughter Nancy C., 7, son John C, 4, and daughter Mary A., 1. His "cannot read" and "cannot write" columns are checked.

In the 1900 census he is 53, living with wife Lydie M., 54, and son Ezkil R., 11, all in Township 4, Chickasaw Nation, Indian Territory. The word "yes" appears in his "can read" and "can write" columns.

He last appears in census records in 1910, 63 years old (mistranscribed on ancestry.com as "69"), living with wife Lydia M., 64 and granddaughter Bonnie (born in Oklahoma), 12, in Burnett, Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma. The word "no" appears in his "can read" and "can write" columns.

Ezekiel married Lydia Martha Richardson in 1864. Lydia was born in Nov 1845 in Moore County, North Carolina; died on 6 Jan 1931 in Dougherty, Murray, Oklahoma; was buried in Dolberg Cemetery, Roff, Pontotoc, Oklahoma. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  20. 59.  Lydia Martha Richardson was born in Nov 1845 in Moore County, North Carolina; died on 6 Jan 1931 in Dougherty, Murray, Oklahoma; was buried in Dolberg Cemetery, Roff, Pontotoc, Oklahoma.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    • Alternate birth: Abt 1846, North Carolina
    • Alternate birth: 1849, North Carolina

    Notes:

Unlike her husband, she is consistently marked in census records as able to read and write.

The Nov 1845 birthdate given on her Find a Grave page is consistent with the 1880, 1900, and 1910 census records showing her as 34, 54, and 64, respectively, since those records would have been made well before November of their specific years.

    Children:
    1. 29. Margaret Ann Britt was born on 9 Dec 1869 in North Carolina; died on 31 Aug 1957 in Perrin, Jack, Texas; was buried in Willow Point Cemetery, Bridgeport, Wise, Texas.

  21. 60.  Stanton Grainger Watson was born on 1 Dec 1849 in Monroe County, Kentucky (son of Perrin S. Watson and Mary A. "Polly" Killman); died on 14 Oct 1905 in Oklahoma; was buried in Oil Springs Cemetery, Healdton, Carter, Oklahoma.

    Other Events and Attributes:

    • Alternate birth: Abt 1848, Tennessee

Stanton married Martha Ann Brown. Martha was born on 12 Feb 1851 in Kentucky; died on 28 Feb 1930 in Chico, Wise, Texas. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

  22. 61.  Martha Ann Brown was born on 12 Feb 1851 in Kentucky; died on 28 Feb 1930 in Chico, Wise, Texas.

    Notes:

Her death certificate confirms that her maiden name was Brown and that she was born in Kentucky. but we are unconvinced that she was, as widely asserted, the Martha Brown born 17 Feb 1852 in Knox County, Kentucky to Thomas Brown and Nancy Witt. "Martha Brown" is a relatively common name, and this one's birth date is given as 12 Feb 1851 in multiple sources.

    Children:
    1. 30. Turner Breckenridge Watson was born on 15 May 1872 in Denton County, Texas; died on 12 Feb 1939 in Chico, Wise, Texas; was buried in Chico Cemetery, Chico, Wise, Texas.

    Jw. Young
    Acting United States District Attorney
for the Western District of Arkansas

    **********

Appearing in person before the District Court of the United States for the Western District of Arkansas in May term, 1866, Wyatt Flowers said that the United States "ought not further to prosecute the said indictment against him, the said Wyatt Flowers, because he says, that on the 27th day of April 1866, before George C Alden, Clerk of the Circuit Court of Franklin County, in the State of Arkansas, he, the said Wyatt Flowers, did take and subscribe the oath prescribed by Andrew Johnson, President of the United States, in his Public Proclamation of general amnesty and pardon", etc.

We find no record of the ultimate outcome of the case, but history tells us that most of the small fry like Wyatt Flowers who were initially prosecuted in Arkansas were ultimately let off. And Flowers was definitely alive as late as early 1876, when his daughter Sarah Ann Flowers was conceived.

Wyatt married Mary Harris on 26 Sep 1859 in Franklin County, Arkansas. Mary was born about 1834. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
