Generation: 1

  1. 1.  Thomas de Burgh (son of Thomas de Burgh and Lucia); died in 1334; was buried in Burrough Green, Newmarket, Cambridgeshire, England.

    Notes:

His older brother Sir John de Burgh's inheritance of Walton was delayed by a lawsuit from his father's sister, Elizabeth, wife of Sir Alexander de Mountford, alleging that her brother was impotent (non copulat matrominii) and that consequently the two sons of Lucy de Bellew were illegitimate, not the children of her husband. Evidently Sir John did manage to inherit anyway; he then became a religious and died, before completing his novitiate, in 1330.

Thomas married Margaret de Waldegrave in 1327 in Hackforth, Yorkshire, England. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
