2. John Fobes died in 1660 in Bridgewater, Plymouth, Massachusetts. Notes:
Called John Vobes in all Plymouth records. First in Plymouth, then Duxbury, then Bridgewater, where he was an original proprietor.
Many online sources notwithstanding, there is no evidence that he was a son of the Rev. John Forbes (d. 1634) and Christian Barkley. His parents and place of birth are unknown.John married Constant Mitchell. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Possibly a sister of Experience Mitchell of Duxbury.
