    Notes:

Emigrated to New England in about 1638 or 1639, as shown by various of his later depositions. He appears to have been associated with the Rev. Ephraim Huet, of Wroxhall, near Kenilworth in Warwickshire, who was persecuted for nonconformity in 1638 by Archbishop Laud and who was driven to emigrate in or about 1639, probably in company with Edward Griswold and quite possibly also in company with Joseph Loomis.

"On August 17, 1639, the Reverend Huet, with a party that doubless included these two ancestors of ours, arrived at Windsor, Connecticut, where he became the first teacher in the church and colleague with its pastor." [Dawes-Gates Ancestral Lines, citation details below.]

"A founder of Windsor, Conn.; later settled at Killingsworth, Conn.; was deputy Gen. court, justice, deacon; built 'Old Fort' at Springfield,Mass." [Ancestors and Descendants of Andrew Lee and Clarinda Knapp Allen]
