"John Mautravers, brother of Walter, and eldest surviving son and heir of John; a knight of William, Earl Marshal, took part with the Barons in 1215, but returned to his allegiance in 1217; he was named in commissions in Dorset and Wilts, 1219 and August 1220; he was dead before the end of 1220.
