Notes - He settled in Watertown, where he was a freeman in 1634. The dates of his birth, emigration, and death are unknown, as is the identity of his spouse. He is said to have died early, being unaccustomed to the severe New England climate, although this leaves one wondering which of the early settlers were accustomed to it.
It has been suggested that he was a brother of the immigrant Ephraim Child, which would make him a son of Wolston Child and Ellen Empson, but this has yet to be proved.
