  Arrived in 1638; first at Lynn, then Reading. He was a carpenter; he should not be confused with the Thomas Marshall of Reading and Lynn, who was called "Lt." and "Capt.", who overlapped this Thomas Marshall for many years at Reading, and who was in fact sued by this Thomas Marshall, in 1660, for withholding a heifer and a calf. Nor should be be confused with Thomas Marshall (d. 1664), cordwainer of Boston and supporter of Anne Hutchinson.
