• Notes

  George Harlan Lewis (citation details below) mistakenly made her a daughter of her grandfather Allen Breed and his second wife Elizabeth (-----) Ballard Knight. In fact all of the older Allen Breed's children were by his first wife Elizabeth Wheeler, who died eight years before this Mary Breed was born. Additionally, the younger Allen Breed's 1707 will bequeaths £5 to "my daughter Mary Lewis."
