• Notes

  The name of his wife is unknown. He received a land warrant in Northampton County, Virginia in 1662. Burgess (citation details below) says he relocated to North Carolina and was killed there by native Americans in 1703. Blakemore (citation details below) says he died in Isle of Wight County about 1680. Obviously at least one of these chroniclers is confused.
