    • He and his family emigrated in 1635 on the Hopewell. First at Ipswich, then Salisbury by about 1640, Southold by 1653.

      He may have been a son of Martin Purrier, vicar of Olney, Buckinghamshire, and his wife Elizabeth, the latter of whom was buried there 29 Jun 1600.
