    • "[S]eigneur de Florensac in Languedoc, Lévis, Marly-le-Chastel, and Magny-l'Essart in Île-de-France. He served in the war in Gascogne. In 1326, he received from Alfonso d'Espagne (Alfonso de la Cerda), seigneur of Lunel, lieutenant of the French king in Languedoc, the fortress of La Fons which belonged to his mother, the viscountess of Lautrec, which had been held by English. In 1347, he was one of the executors for the estate of James III, the last king of Majorca. He was awarded seigneuries in the se?ne?chausse?e of Carcassonne by the king of France in 1336." [John P.
