  First at Sandwich in 1637; in Yarmouth by 2 Jun 1646, where he was appointed constable and where he remained the rest of his life. He was referred to as Mr. John Joyce. The 5 Sep 1657 will of Robert Cochet of Mickle, Derbyshire, gentleman, bequeaths money to "my sister Dorothy Joyce, wife of one John Joyce of New England."
