  • Notes
    • He was, according to pedigree recorded by the antiquary Thomas Tanner, Bishop of St. Asaph (1674–1735), "a famous preacher, a reverend grave minister who had been a preacher to those who fleeing from religion in Q. Marie's day [1553–58] met together in woods & secret places, as they could. He was a gentleman of a great estate & exceeding liberality to the poor. In the time of Q. Elizabeth he preached at Fressingfield. He owned St James Park in South Elmham."
