  • Notes 
    • He was sheriff of Kent in 1258-61. He fought for Simon de Montfort at the siege of Rochester castle in 1264. He was Justice Itinerant and of the Common Pleas, 1267-68 and 1270-71; Justice of the King's bench, 1271; Justice itinerant in Middlesex, 1273-74; and Serjeant-at-Law, Justice itinerant in Middlesex, Justice of the King's Bench, and a Baron of the Exchequer, 1275. He was constable of the castle and city of Rochester for life, 1279-80. According to Carl Boyer (citation details below), three weeks before he died he was summoned to Parliament at Westminster.
