    Robert Hayden, a well known young farmer of the Curdsville vicinity, died of stomach trouble at his home at 6:45 o'clock Monday evening. Mr. Hayden had been in failing health for more than one year, and was taken to his bed a few weeks ago. His condition grew worse last week, and remained so up to the time of his death. Mr. Hayden was 42 years of age, and was born near West Louisville. He was a very popular young man and had many friends. For 12 years he was in the service of the United States army. The deceased is survived by his wife, who was Miss Flora Blandford, two sons and two daughters. he is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Ernest Clark, of West Louisville, two brothers, Ivo Hayden of Washington and Crawford Hayden, of Nebraska, both of whom have been doing government work for many years. 

    James married Mary Florella "Flora" Blandford on 12 Jan 1904 in Daviess County, Kentucky. Mary (daughter of Dr. Thomas Walter Blandford and Louisa Cecilia Luckett) was born on 10 Apr 1881; died on 24 May 1963; was buried in St. Alphonsus Cemetery, West Louisville, Daviess, Kentucky.
