Torrey (citation details below) calls her "Esther [OSBORN/?OSGOOD]"; as a result, some online sources identify her as a daughter of John Osborn (d. 1686) and Ann Oldage (d. 1689). We know of no evidence that proves this.

4. John Owen died on 18 Feb 1698 in Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut; was buried in Congregational Cemetery, Windsor, Hartford, Connecticut. Notes:
William Arthur Owen (citation details below) states that he was born around 1622, while noting that the town records of Windsor state that he turned 40 on 25 Dec 1664. The same town records state that, contrary to the inscription on his gravestone, he died 1 Feb 1698/99.

"Robert Wade [...] is claimed as father of Rebecca in Ralph Dornfield Owen's Descendants of John Owen of Windsor, Connecticut (1622-1690) (Philadelphia 1941), p. 19, but without documentation. The present writer has done no research on this problem, but since John Owen and wife apparently did not share in the settlement of Robert Wade's estate, as Mr. Jacobus points out, it would be well to be cautious."
